PRODUCT TIPS & SPECS
About The Ju1ceBox Handheld Rosin Press
How does the Ju1ceBox handheld rosin press work?
The Ju1ceBox is engineered to ensure the perfect combination of heat and pressure to a surface area for personal use. Its compact size makes it not only portable, but also a fraction of the cost compared to similar products on the market. With no need for dangerous gases or large hydraulic components, anyone can safely access solvent-less extracts.
How do I know my Ju1ceBox rosin press is not going to break?
All parts of our products are made with the best quality material. We engineered each component to withstand extended use without breaking. Everything is assembled by hand in America, to assure best quality control possible.
What’s a common return rate?
This is primarily determined by the starting material. The JuiceBox handheld rosin press will show you how good your flower really is. Average flower should yield 14-20%, Good flower can get a consistent 20%-25% or up to 30% return rate! We recommend trying no more than a half gram when pressing a strain for the first time, and trying multiple different strains to find one's that produce well.
Why are my yields lows compared to what I see online?
Yields from rosin are primarily determined by the starting material. We recommend trying no more than a half gram when pressing a strain for the first time, and trying multiple different strains to find ones that produce well. Firstly make sure you're following the instructions correctly. You should turn on the unit only AFTER lining up and applying full hand pressure. Another thing to consider is that hash will yield significantly more than flower, and our pre-press will allow you to fit much more material per press. Shop pre-presses click here.
Does the Ju1ceBox rosin presses have a temperature control? How hot does it get?
The size of our plates on our handheld unit guarantees that 80% or more of the surface area is used in each press. This causes the rosin and wide variety of terpenes to exit the plates to a cool, safe zone immediately. In combination with our unique sloped design and heating process, this makes temperature control unnecessary. Once pressure is locked in, and the unit is powered on, the plates will heat from room temperature to 250 degrees. Each terpene melts at a different temperature and will be pushed out one at a time outside the plates, this allows for the highest-quality rosin and maximum yield with only one press!
The Ju1ceBox Tabletop Twist Rosin Press was specifically designed for commercial purposes considering the huge demand of rosin or concentrates. The built-in temperature control allows each press to be adjusted between 160’F and 350’F.
How much pressure does the Ju1ceBox apply?
Many rosin presses have large plates that increase the total surface area and then require extreme pressures for success. The size of our plates requires significantly less pressure making it easy to be done by hand. Once full pressure has been applied, the Ju1ceBox will lock in place holding up to 300lbs of pressure. This design with our heating process allows anyone to achieve maximum yields possible.
Can I press hash/kief?
Yes. A small micron bag is recommended when pressing hash, kief, or shake. We provide 2 different sized micron bags, each is sized perfect for the plates on either or handheld or twist style units. Shop for rosin bags click here.
Tips
How can I get the biggest yield?
When it comes to rosin one thing to note is that all rosin yields are not equal. Of course having top quality equipment, such as the Ju1ceBox rosin press, can make a huge difference, but if you want to hit big yield numbers with flower rosin you have to select the right strains.
You’ll want to focus on strains that offer massive trichome production. Another key to pressing quality rosin is how resinous your plants are in general. Remember, the more resinous it is, the more rosin you’ll yield. While indica and hybrids tend to be the best choice, some sativas are worth pressing as well.
Poor material will have little to no yield. As the quality of the material increases so should the yield. Use the best material possible.

If you have trouble with alignment or would like to press larger amounts we recommend our stainless steel pre-press. We highly recommend trying our stainless steel pre-press if you are having bad results. The perfectly pre-pressed pucks will allow you to juice up to 2 grams of flower or hash at one time. Shop pre-presses click here.
How do I select the right material to press?
Firstly, not all good looking/smelling material will yield well. When making rosin avoid using dry or older material. As any plant material ages, the terpenes disintegrate into the air and will produce a lower quality product. 62% relative humidity works best for preserving most terpenes. Look to use material with significant moisture, is very sticky or has a strong aroma. Lighter yellow color rosin is usually a sign fresh material, while a dark brown color is a usually a sign of older material.
What are the best strains to make rosin with?
When it comes to rosin one thing to note is that all rosin yields are not equal. Of course having top quality equipment, such as the Ju1ceBox rosin press, can make a huge difference, but if you want to hit big yield numbers with flower rosin you have to select the right strains.

Remember, the more resinous it is, the more rosin you’ll yield. While indica and hybrids tend to be the best choice, some sativas are worth pressing as well.
Here are a few of each that you should consider making into rosin:

GG4 (a/k/a Gorilla Glue #4)
GG4 is an incredibly popular strain for cannabis users of all ingestion methods.
Many rosin pressers love its high potency and copious trichomes that make its flower look covered in permafrost.
With a high THC content, this may not be the best dab to end a night since many varieties can be stimulating, but it does tend to be suitable for any other occasion.
The White and its Crossed Strains
An indica dominant hybrid, The White is not part of the White Widow family but instead named for the color of its buds.
The white's name is the prime reason why rosin pressers love this strain. Its abundant, plentiful trichomes are perfect for pressing rivers of rosin.
The White’s beginnings are slightly unclear. However, what isn’t is its potency. Users are sure to enjoy the almost immediate impact of a White hit.
Those looking for quick, lasting pain relief should consider this strain for pressing. However, its terpene profile isn't its strongest trait.
As mentioned with GG4, if you're looking for a yield with noticeable terpenes, this strain might not be your top choice. If that is your preference, other OGs might fit your wants a bit more.

Papaya and its Crosses
Papaya is a potent strain known for its disease resistance and early maturation. It's also beloved for being a powerful indica dominant hybrid that's excellent for cross breeding.
The top crossbred strains are worthy candidates for water processed hash -- with some of the best washes and rosin coming from Kennnwall, along with many amazing crosses originating from Oni Seed Co.
Papaya fans cite its rich terpenes that fill the nose with fruit, mainly mango. Additional benefits of Papaya and many of its crosses include quick and long-lasting effects that typically bring joy while keeping a certain level of focus.
Some strains to also consider:
The chem lineage such as Chemdawg, Chem Valley Kush, Chemdawg Sour Diesel and Chem Willie
Any strains with gorilla glue, OG, Cookies, or Lemon head lineage
What is the best humidity to keep flower for pressing?
Avoid using dry or older material. As any plant material ages, the terpenes disintegrate into the air and will produce a lower quality product. 62% relative humidity works best for preserving most terpenes. So, make sure there is significant moisture.
How important is it align correctly?
When using the Ju1ceBox, it important that there is no material overhanging. This means that the starting material should be completely inside the plates. Any overhang acts like a sponge and will soak up any product it comes into contact with. Our pre-press will compact a large amount of material into a perfect sized puck for our plates. Shop pre-presses click here.
How know i'm applying enough pressure?
Once the material is aligned, apply full hand pressure using both hands by squeezing with entire hand strength. The Ju1ceBox will produce a very similar yield even if you only squeeze with one hand, but most consumers want to maximize what they get from each press. You can lean into a table or counter with your hands wrapped around the clamp handles to get the maximum pressure, and the Ju1ceBox is built to handle that. Nevertheless this extra bit of pressure is not entirely necessary for good yields, and will increase the wear on your unit. When applying pressure, if you see the handles of the clamp bending towards eachother then you have already reach maximum pressure. If you believe you have very low hand strength or are concerned you can't apply the same pressure as an average adult, we reccomend looking at our table top unit. Shop table tops click here.
What should I do with the rosin chips?
Rosin chips, or rosin pucks, are the byproduct of making rosin press cannabis wax. In this process, dried cannabis flowers are squeezed into a disk or thin block and sandwiched between parchment paper. Pressing cannabis into rosin is usually done more for the actual rosin that is pressed out, but even the best rosin press devices do not get all of the THC and oils out of flower. So these chips that are left over actually have several good uses other than to level your table leg.
See our recommendations for the chips here.
